Many of you might think why yet another web awards program when there are so many already, all of them competing to be considered a top award?
The answer is simple, yet covers a complex situation: The Marketing Web Awards addresses a very targeted population of websites, those that offer free resources in General Marketing, eMarketing/Internet Marketing, Marketing Strategy & Planning, Market Research. Since we are Marketing professionals ourselves, we couldn't help but notice how many Marketing-related resources are available online and we felt like it is much needed to discern the valuable ones from the crowd. We've seen so many "bad" resources that it's now time to honor and publicize the "good" ones; we've come across so many websites claiming to have Marketing-oriented content when they're basically clones of MLM programs or perhaps collection of links - we've literally wanted to scream at all those who use the word "Marketing" yet they have no idea what they talk about. It's a tough world out there but that just does not justify word abuse, misleading, misinterpretation of what Marketing really is and what a Marketing resources website should really be about.
Our mission at The Marketing Web Awards is to uncover to the public which sites bring excellence into the Marketing world, which are a must-read (must-visit) for any Marketing professional or novice, which excel in originality and creativity and add value to the online jungle of resources.
Our approach is strictly from a user's point of view, we proud ourselves to be the voice of those seeking quality Marketing resources. Since we are consumers of such resources in the first place and often had difficulties locating them online, we strive to bring a valuable, objective and unbiased help to the Marketing resources seekers as well as a helping hand and recognition to the truly valuable Marketing websites.
