The following criteria of eligibility must be met by any website applying for an award at the Marketing Web Awards. Please do carefully review them, and only submit your website if ALL criteria are satisfied.
Submissions of websites failing to comply with one or more of the criteria below will be ignored from the start and no feedback will be given to the owner. However, if the site does meet the eligibility criteria yet fails to acquire at least 85 points (see the scoring sheet), the owner will be sent a full feedback report on why we refused to issue an award - if correction measures are taken, we will gladly review the site again (see Rules and FAQ).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - The Marketing Web Awards
The Marketing Web Awards are open for all websites who meet the basic eligibility criteria below:
- the main purpose is informational rather than commercial, covering topics in Marketing, eMarketing, Internet Marketing and eBusiness; - the website's main mission (or one of them) is to gather, develop, promote and distribute free or partially free resources in Marketing, eMarketing, Internet Marketing and/or eBusiness and to improve their awareness among Marketing professionals and students; - website is up and running for at least 1 year; - Alexa ranking < 1,000,000 (we're sorry but if your website hasn't got enough traffic to be placed on a 6-digit ranking at most, we have to worry there must be a reason why visitors don't find you or they're not coming back at you...); - website is held on a top-level domain (e.g. http://www.yoursite.com ) - subdomanins are not accepted; - website is not hosted with a free hosting plan, with the hosting company's ads all over the place; - a surfing session on the website will not have more than one pop-up, pop-under or interstitial, preferably placed at the exit.
EXCEPTIONS: the only exception from the criteria above consists in websites applying for Best New Site Award, where the rule of at least 1 year of functioning does not apply (all the rest do, though).
